Although Snow White is a fairytale character who has featured in various traditional tales, most people’s image of Snow White based on the beautiful Disney cartoon version of Snow White. As a result, most of the Snow White costumes available today are based on the Disney Snow White.
 
A Snow White costume is an excellent choice of outfit for a fancy dress party, and there are costumes available for both adults and children.
 
Most Snow White fancy dress costumes comprise of the same basic elements. The essential piece of the outfit is a blue, white and yellow dress (or skirt and top combination). The skirt is usually yellow and the top blue. The sleeves of the dress are often trimmed with white. The outfit is often finished with red shoes and a red or white hair band. A basket full of apples would really complete the costume.
 
The Snow White costume can be made sexier by shortening the skirt and by adding knee length socks or garters. There are several racy adult Snow White costumes available online, and these would certainly turn heads at a fancy dress party.
 
If you can convince seven of your friends to dress up as the Seven Dwarfs you would really make an entrance at a party, but if you can manage to arrange this, this costume would also work well in combination with other fairy tale costumes.
