It was about a friendly (but sarcastic and cynical) alien, ALF, who crash-landed on Earth and ended up living with the Tanner family. ALF became a cult character during the 80s, and an ALF fancy dress costume would be a great Halloween fancy dress outfit, or a costume for an 80s theme party (as the show was very popular in the eighties and ALF). Some companies produce ALF costumes. These are usually all-in-one suits with a facemask attached to the body suit. It is also possible to make your own ALF fancy dress costume out of parts of other costumes. In the TV show, ALF is covered in rust-coloured hair. This could easily be achieved for a fancy dress costume by using the suit from a teddy bear fancy dress costume, or a Chewbacca fancy dress costume, or a dog fancy dress costume. In fact, just about any costume with brown / orange hair would do. Add to this an ALF mask (available from eBay or from a costume company) and you’ve made an ALF fancy dress costume.
